Sunday in Stavanger

We took a stroll in the city in this fantastic weather. At first we wanted to take a boat out into the fjord, but we were too late. I had done a morning performance in the Stavanger Dom, and came home too late for catching the 12 boat. But, what was more perfect then, than to go to Sjokoladepiken and buy some homemade icecream in their own chocolate cups?
Now, back home, we're soon going to enjoy "fish a'la Robert" on the terrace!

Utepils

SUN!!

It's such a beautiful weather that I decided to spend some time out sunbathing. I usually find it unbearably boring, so I finally took out my slovak course.
Smart and brown!

Norwegian is difficult

A new sort of Dolls house?

Friends in town

I was out having dinner with Guro monday night when I thought I saw this girl. To quote the birdie "I did, I did", and so we had a date before yesterdays rehearsal with the Cathedral Ensemble. It was great, all of it!

Iiiihhh!

I have gotten my two 3rd round weeks in SSO. It'll be week 39 and 40, and it's great repertoire!!
Bizet's symphony in C, plus some musicals (week 39) and Wagner's "Wesendonk lieder" and "The Ring, and orchestral adventure" (week 40)

Knert, I'm sure you'd love the concert in week 39. Can't you skip school for a day and come?? I'll help you out with some homework ;)

More fun

Possibly most fun for those who reads norwegian. I spotted this commercial on a bus stop in Stavanger.

Celebration dinner!

I got to the 3rd round in Stavanger! We're 4 who will get 2 weeks each in the orchestra. Robi and I are now REALLY hungry, so we're at an Indian restaurant. Yey! I have a huge grin on my face!!

Uhuuuuaaaaaaaa

I'm staring into the open air, can't practice or do much else.
I feel numb.

Diagnose: Audition

Cure: (this is a secret, because there is no cure. Only - it passes. And it's supposed to be a bit fun. somehow)

More 17th of May!

Grandma made cake - both with and without cream (I can't eat any dairy products...).
She even decorated them according to the day! Eivind did a heroic job by grinding coffee beans by hand. (well, almost anyway.) And so we had a great 17th of May evening coffee :)

17th of May

Hooray! Spent the morning at Donskitoppen where Grand-dad is living. We watched the children marching by, had some coffee and now relaxing in the garden. Mum borrowed my hat from my national costume. Lovely, isn't she?

Morning coffee

Eivind made coffee today, and Granny came down to join us. Oh, and I have given E a new addiction too. Oooops

Another observation...

At the bus terminal, checking the schedual, I noticed these boards. The right one is in fact right, while the left one is in a different time zone. I think.. (Would have had more boards in the picture if I would have flash installed in my high-tech phone)

Birthdayparty

in Rådhusplassen. Celebrating Ai's first birthday in Norway with coffee and cakes in between rehearsals for the Swanlake.

Whole family gathered together in the restaurant Far East. Here are the two family mothers, enjoying their food!

8th of May

One of Norways official flagging days (oh, how to say this??). And this year the spring is particularly beautiful. Grandma got an extra suprise too, because her 2nd great-grand-child was born too. Imagine, both born 8th of May!

Lunch!

While I'm waiting for the cello doctor to be finished, I eat lunch. Sushi! Yummie!!

onsdag 6. mai 2009

Dessert on the roof

After the first Swanlake rehearsal, Natalia and I went up to the roof. And what did we find but an ice cream stand?

Practice break

And it's nice!! Real treat for myself when I've done some good work.
Mum bought this little wafer roll (filled with cappucino cream) in Vienna. She didn't realize it then, but it is called Amicelli. How cute isn't that!!

Trendy Granny

Yesterday we were invited up to Granny for a in-between-practice coffee and cup cakes. Apparently, cup cakes has become trendy again in the states. At least according to the radio woman on P2. Way to go, Gran! And the cakes were yummie!!

Night snack

Mum brought this from Vienna. I think the name did it all... Even though it's really good on toast, my after-work snack consisted of half a grapefruit and a cup of peppermint tea. Truly delicious company to calm mind after a day work, practice and tax papers.
