Monkeys

I've found my favorite seats on the buses around Stavanger. There are pictures of monkeys around. I feel very at home...

More elsk!

Due to different causes, I'm in Stavanger and my cello is home. I knew Liv had an extra cello, so I called her to ask if I could borrow that one. "Yes", she said, "but I'm in Krakow so you can use my ordinary one".
So, now I'm playing on this beauty from 1761. Luxury!

Location: Stavanger
Mood: Privileged, but divided: it's sun and I should be outside too!
Listening to: Neighbors cutting grass
Drinking: Not enough water, but tea

Treat!

Eivind and I are out in the city to get stuff for our mountain walk tomorrow, plus additional paint for our terrace. We passed by Sjokoladepiken for a treat. Yum!

Revenge

This is Eivinds amazing beginning of his revenge in this Snake game. Great weather at Solastranda! Aaah, summer!

Wild strawberries!

What could possibly taste better after an 8 hour long drive (Oslo to Stavanger) than wild strawberries? They grow in our tiny garden, so I'm not sure the term suits them very well... But incredibly yummie!!
It is great to have my little brother for visit! :)

No more blue toes!

But purple!

Knerten special!

Thought this might be a good alternative for your Japanese sugar pop game!

SUPLISE!

Top 3 list

My today's top 3 list is as follows:

1. The water kettle.
-it allows me to drink unlimited amounts of hot beverages such as tea and coffee

2.Summer edition of "Intellingent Life"
-Very interesting, and since I don't have any books here it's my only reading for now. Can't hang around the computer or TV the whole days. AND I can bring it outside when it suddenly gets warm and not windy..)

2.Purple colored nailpolish.
-Didn't expect this? Well, now I can cover my great, blue toenail! (without feeling like a worn out prostitute - read: with RED toenails)

...and then it's the matter of my puzzle. It goes without saying, I guess. For now, it's frame is almost complete (1 piece I can't find yet) and I have a few pieces out in the middle section.

A new friend

At least for the minute it took to take this picture. Now I hope it's back with it's friends talking of it's flying experience.

Solastranda

Kvetas last day here, and we took a trip to Solastranda. It was quite windy, so despite the sun we had to wear a lot of clothes. First we took the bus towards Sola (I always laugh when I think of this name. The Sun!), but Robert forgot to push the button - we got a bit longer walk. Then I figured Kveta would like to see Sola Ruin Church, I saw the sign and we walked. Quite far. It was warm (suddenly) and we passed lots of farms. Not what I remembered of my previous trip to this church. We decided to turn back, and guess what we saw next to the road, app. 100 m from the sign? Yup.
When we finally found our way to the beach I got a strong sence of deja-vu. I am positive I was there once before. Can it possibly be from the famous car vacation down the south-west coast of Norway? (The only thing I remember apart from looong hours in the car) was a face I drew on Eivinds foot!

Yum!

I can't really say anything but: YUM!!
Eivind, I think I know which one would be your favorite...

Charlottes iskrem

Look!

6 snails, an empty shell and two dead crabs. Something for Adrian?

Babelfish, please!

This is how we communicate at the moment. And while I'm looking through the dictionary for something useful, I sometimes discovers fun oddities. Škoda owners beware! To je Škoda (in Slovak) means; It's a pity!

Puzzle time!!

While trying to entertain my "mother-in-law" (apart from making her laugh out loud with my attempts on composing sentences in her language, with an English-Slovak pocket dictionary for guidance, saying everything in infinitive) I remembered my other summer project:
Puzzling my tiny 12000 pieces Ravensburger puzzle. (The first project seems impossible since I can't find Baumgartners book of how to realize the basso continuo parts.)
I bought a puzzle stow-and-go thingummyjig!

Puslespillmatte

I just hope it's big enough. (The whole lot is divided into 3 smaller puzzles.)

Something for Robi?

Passed this one on my walk through Stavanger with Kveta. A tad too patriotic?

Birthdayparty

And I asked them all to gather around Grandpa like an oldfashioned photographer. Anders and Anne came later.. Grandma had booked a room with equipment like cutlery, plates and coffee machine. Mum and Astrid had made snitter and Grandma had baked kringle. And then it was Astrids cream cake with cloud berries (picked up around Grandpas cabin). I know I shouldn't eat any dairy products, but it was so yummie! And I know Grandpa enjoyed his 90th birthday tremendously.

Preparations

Mum and Grandma is putting together the flower decorations for the family party, celebrating Grandpas 90th birthday, tomorrow.

NO!!!

My mum thinks these jeans are ready for being disposed of. But they feel so nice! My other ones are not even close... To say it as I usually do: Vil ikke!

Last night

Of the Opera. Now I'm on summer holiday! Mum (murri) was sitting at 1st desk. The audience was enjoying it tremendously, I think the two russian guests were making a great show. And then, when I picked up a load of vinyl at Dad's place, I heard it was the last performance for Igor. May he have a great retirement (at the age of 42)!

Bacchus 2

But this time with Amanda. Incredibly nice chat, sweet cake, good coffee and weird waitress.

Fruits

In Sandvika. Helene, they're here too. It's safe to come back ;)

Baby sitting

Having Yrsa almost the entire day gave me the opportunity to experience some of what parents goes through every day. As peeing when changing diaper, eating bread all over the place, tired but WILL NOT SLEEP, adoring smiles and a new word. Rabbits are now called Åååååh!

Elsk!

While I'm at the Norwegian Academy of Music waiting for Sigurd (going to babysit his daughter some hours), Dad took me to the library. They've got an exhibition of old instruments and there two beauties are viola da gambas (bass viols). Want one!

Aftermath

Three tired girls, done with auditioning before summer. Should be a party, though, but alas- I have to work...

fredag 5. juni 2009

Out with Anna

And we found yet another thai restaurant. Yum, yum

onsdag 3. juni 2009

Birthday-party

For Yrsa! Celebrated with waffles, and look! A new giraffe!! I gave her a swim suit, so I guess she'll find it to be more fun later on in the season. I'm glad I managed to visit this little family before they move to Trondheim. One thing which I'd like to say to all my friends: Sorry for being unsocial, but hopefully I'll be able to invite you over to Stavanger...

Shopping!

I managed to convince these two to accompany me on my shopping today. I wanted a summer dress, some shoes (light ones, no heel) a wedding gift for Sigurd and Anne Sigrid, and on top of this: not be alone. Eivind is somewhat allergic to shopping, but with this treat I think it was worth it...

Bus back to Oslo

And this is all the space I have. Next seat is also occupied, and behind me is a big guy. I'm glad I can dream of my last weeks in Stavanger, look out at the nature, see an anime on my mp3 player, and eat an apple after a thai meal in Kristiandsand. (Stopped by there to give my bow to Lars A. so he can bring it with him to be rehaired in Paris.) But, aiaiai, my feet hurts!!
